Young Musicians Award 2025 - scores
Neblina is a piece for clarinet in A, which resulted from a commission by Antena 2/RTP for the 2025 Young Musicians Award. As a clarinetist, I thought about how I could make the piece challenging to play to a level of a competition. With this, and as the title of the piece suggests, I used a timbral, tonal and somewhat rhythmic blurring of a dominant language in the repertoire of this instrument, essentially using microtonalism and timbral exploration.
