About
The collection of works in this double CD spans nearly 20 years, from recent pieces composed at the start of this project in 2022 to Quattro (2004) for percussion and electronics—marking the beginning of electronics in my work. The selection and organization of the pieces reflect this journey, diversifying the listening experience with various chamber formations, including duets, quartets, wind orchestra, symphony orchestra, as well as concertante, choral, and choral-instrumental music.
Despite the diversity and natural evolution of language over the years, there is an aesthetic and stylistic coherence. All pieces, except one on each CD, include electronics, exploring interaction with acoustic instruments. The use of electronics varies: it can lead the musical discourse, complement harmonically, expand timbre like a super-instrument, or evoke soundscapes. The album reflects a balance between the acoustic and the electronic.
