“Perspective Distortion” (2022), for Trombone Solo, is a work commissioned by Antena 2 – RTP for the Prémio Jovens Músicos and tries to demonstrate in it’s structural evolution a perspective distortion that is reflected in the materials that it presents throughout the piece.
These materials appear and reappear transfigured in multiple parameters (duration, pitch, etc.) and, while the structural evolution is heard, the motifs resurface – like a sudden look at another face of a die – being or not distorted by the perspective in which they reappear.
