About

From a need to share some ideas I have about the contemporary world came the desire to write this piece. I'm honestly not interested in qualitative assessments nor moral judgements about what's right and what's wrong I leave that to others.

Living in the jungle that is London, where I am confronted with modern ideologies on a daily basis, I am spurred more than ever to respond creatively to the inseparable traits of the millennial generation. And God only knows what a marvellous adrenaline rush I get when I think of crowds, when I think of consumption, when I think of missiles, when I think of the end. We've been without steering wheel for a while now, I don't know if we'll get it back again, but after all, who cares? This piece is a reaction to all this, it's a musical alliteration and also a story that seeks to combine drama with humour.

"Talking (A)bout My Generation" is a message where the vehicle itself - the piece - has become the message it wanted to be. Having the Remix Ensemble, a superb group absolutely committed to modernity, premiere this piece is a luxurious pleasure that imbues the music with an even more visceral meaning.

It's dedicated to my entire generation.
